Contemplative Prayer

Every Thursday at 2.30pm

United Reformed Church, High Street, Glastonbury (enter by the side door)

There will be a short introduction — from the Desert Fathers, Benedict, Ignatius of Loyola, the Carmelites - Teresa of Avila, John of the Cross, Brother Lawrence (The Practice of the Presence of God) and more . . . followed by half an hour’s silence — after which there will be an opportunity for sharing.

Sometimes we practise different ways of meditating, and have the opportunity of reflecting on the process of meditation — how to deal with distractions, difficult feelings. . .
