Sacramental Preparation
BAPTISM
Baptism leaves an indelible (permanent) mark on the soul and is available for all, both young and old. Anyone who has not already been baptised can receive the sacrament of Baptism in the Catholic Church.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
First Communion is when a person receives the body and blood of Jesus in the Eucharist for the very first time. This is considered a very holy and significant event our lives and is one of the 7 Sacraments of the Catholic church.
CONFIRMATION
Confirmation, in the Catholic Church, is one of the seven sacraments. It is a way of us confirming our faith and trust in God, and is one of the three sacraments of our initiation into the Catholic Church.
MARRIAGE
The Catholic Church teaches that marriage between two baptized persons is a Sacrament. The Old Testament prophets saw the marriage of a man and woman as a symbol of the covenant relationship between God and his people.
cONFESSION
The basic requirement for a good confession is to have the intention of returning to God like the "prodigal son" and to acknowledge our sins with true sorrow before the priest. Confession is a fresh start which heals our relationship with God and purifies our soul.
