Online sessions for November / December

Here are details details of four online series that the Diocese are offering in partnership with ‘Light of Truth’ over the next two months. All are welcome to sign up for any of these.

Meet the Angels:

Two sessions to discover what the Catholic Church teaches about the Angels. The sessions begin at 7.30 pm on a Thursday evening on 21 November & 28 November. To sign up for the series, please click on the Zoom link here.

Advent Retreat 2024:

We are offering three sessions to prepare for Advent by reflecting from Scripture on the virtue of hope, as we enter into the Jubilee Year, ‘Pilgrims of Hope.’ The sessions begin at 7.30 pm on a Thursday evening on 5 December, 12 December & 19 December.

The Happy Life of Virtue:

We have seven sessions to discover the virtues of faith, hope, charity, prudence, justice, fortitude and temperance, keys to a holy and happy life, in communion with God and in imitation of Our Blessed Mother Mary. The sessions take place every second Friday of the Month, at 7.30 pm, and begin on 13 December 2024.

  • 13 December - 1: Faith

  • 10 January - 2: Hope

  • 14 February - 3: Charity

  • 14 March - 4: Prudence

  • 11 April - 5: Justice

  • 9 May - 6: Fortitude

  • 13 June - 7: Temperance

Training for Children's Liturgy of the Word:

We are offering a training session to equip leaders and helpers of the Children's Liturgy of the Word in their parish. We will look at essential principles, offer models, and recommend resources.
